Salut. Cum aflu ce versiune de Firmware am la nikon D40-ul meu ? Daca e mai veche, merita sa fac update ? Eu am achizitionat aparatul in 2009 Ianuarie de la F64. Nu ma plang de nimic, merge impecabil. Vreau sa stiu doar daca merita sa fac un eventual update la Firmware... am ceva de castigat ?

Nu am D40, dar am D60, care cred ca e foarte asemanator.

Versiunea de firmware se poate vedea asa: Menu -> SETUP MENU -> Firmware version.
Atentie: optiunea "Menu -> SETUP MENU -> CSM/Setup menu" trebuie sa fie pe "Full" (default cred ca e "Simple").

Un update de firmware nu cred ca are ce sa strice, poate doar sa aduca imbunatatiri

am tot citit in stanga si in dreapta si am vazut cazuri in care dupa update... a fost mai nasol decat inainte, de aia eram in dilema... merita sau nu...
eu am versiunea 1.11 si am vauzt pe situel oficial ca este 1.12...

Din ce vad eu aici zice asa:

Modifications enabled with A Firmware Ver. 1.12

* Remaining battery charge is now accurately detected for Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries EN-EL9a.
* With firmware Ver. 1.11 and earlier, the number of images that could be captured (battery performance) when an EN-EL9a was used, was less than when an EN-EL9 was used. By upgrading A firmware to Ver. 1.12, EN-EL9a performance is maximized so that more images can be captured (battery performance) when an EN-EL9a is used than when an EN-EL9 is used.
* Number of shots possible (battery performance) with EN-EL9a (1,080 mAh)
*
o Single-frame shooting mode: Approximately 510 shots (with testing according to CIPA standards*)
o Continuous shooting mode: Approximately 2,400 shots (with testing according to Nikon standards*)
*See the D40 user’s manual for details on test conditions.


Din ce inteleg eu updateul asta e folositor pentru a putea utiliza acumulatori Nikon EN-EL9a (D40 vine implicit cu EN-EL9)
