Complete the assembly by replacing the inner black ring and its two screws. Make sure the lens mount is level and smooth all the way around. If not, you probably didn't secure the board mini crossword properly. Try again.

If you're experiencing an issue with your Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens where the zoom is locked, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Power Off and On:
Turn off your camera and detach the lens.
Power on the camera without the lens.
    Turn off the camera again.
Reattach the lens and power on the camera.

Check for Obstructions:
Inspect the lens for any physical obstructions or debris that might be preventing the zoom mechanism from moving smoothly. Gently clean the lens if necessary.

Manual Focus Mode:
Switch the lens to manual focus mode (if applicable) and attempt to rotate the zoom ring manually. This can help determine if the issue is with the autofocus mechanism.

Try Another Camera:
If possible, try the lens on another compatible camera to see if the issue persists. This can help identify whether the problem is with the lens or the camera.

Update Firmware:
Check if there is a firmware update available for your lens. Sometimes, manufacturers release firmware updates to address performance issues.

Contact Tamron Support:
If the problem persists and your lens is still under warranty, contact Tamron customer support for assistance. They may provide guidance on troubleshooting or recommend sending the lens for service.

Professional Repair:
If the lens is no longer under warranty and the issue persists, you may need to consider professional repair services. Tamron or an authorized service center can inspect and repair the lens.

Remember to handle the equipment with care and follow the manufacturer's guidelines when troubleshooting or seeking repairs. If in doubt, it's always a good idea to consult with Tamron's customer support or an authorized service center for expert advice tailored to your specific situation.
